Le Châtelard

Le Chatelard is a village in the Aravis range of the Haute-Savoie department in the French Alps, set at the foot of the dramatic limestone cliffs that define this corner of the pre-Alps between Annecy and Megeve. The area is beloved by serious hikers and trail runners in summer, with immediate access to some of the most spectacular mountain walking in Europe, including the Tour des Aravis and routes above the Col des Aravis. In winter, the proximity to the La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand ski areas makes it a practical and picturesque alpine base. Chalets in the Le Chatelard area offer a more authentic and local mountain experience than the high-altitude resorts, combining genuine village character with magnificent alpine scenery.
