Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply when you use theluxuryrental.com, send us an inquiry, or work with us as a property owner, property manager or partner. In these Terms, “The Luxury Rental”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Luxury Rental. “You” means any visitor, guest, homeowner, property manager or partner using our website or services. “Supplier” means the owner, property manager or other company that supplies and rents a property or service. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

2. Who we are and what we do

The Luxury Rental is a marketing company. We showcase luxury villas, homes and chalets supplied by our Suppliers, generate inquiries from travelers, and coordinate communication between guests and Suppliers so a booking can be agreed between them. We act only as an intermediary.

The Luxury Rental is not the owner, landlord, property manager, operator, travel agency or tour operator of any property or service shown on our website, and we are not a party to any rental agreement. Every rental is a contract directly between you and the Supplier. The Supplier is solely responsible for the property, the stay, its rental agreement, house rules, policies, staff and any services it provides.

3. Listing information and rates

Property descriptions, photos, amenities, staffing, availability and rates are provided by Suppliers. We present this information in good faith but do not inspect every property and cannot guarantee that it is complete, accurate or current. Photos are representative. Rates shown on our website, including “starting from” prices, are guides only. The price, availability and terms of your stay are those confirmed to you in writing by the Supplier.

4. Inquiries and booking coordination

Sending an inquiry through our website does not create a booking or any contract with The Luxury Rental. When you inquire, we pass your request to the relevant Supplier and help coordinate questions, quotes and arrangements between you and the Supplier.

A booking exists only when the Supplier confirms it to you in writing and you accept the Supplier’s rental agreement and payment terms. Before you commit, review the Supplier’s terms carefully, including the price, payment schedule, minimum stay, security deposit, cancellation terms and house rules. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old (some Suppliers set a higher minimum age).

5. Payments

All payments for a stay are made directly to the Supplier, following the Supplier’s payment instructions. The Luxury Rental does not collect, hold or process guest payments, and we do not charge guests any fee. We are paid by our Suppliers for the marketing and lead generation services we provide to them.

Deposits, balances, security deposits, taxes and any extra charges are set and collected by the Supplier. Please only pay using the details in your Supplier confirmation, and contact us before paying if you receive payment instructions you do not recognize.

6. Cancellations, changes and refunds

Cancellations, changes and refunds are governed solely by the Supplier’s policy for your booking. Requests should be made to the Supplier, and we are happy to help pass them along. Any refund is the responsibility of the Supplier, and The Luxury Rental is not responsible for refunds or for any amount paid to a Supplier.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, curtailment, medical costs and personal belongings.

7. Your responsibilities as a guest

  • Give accurate information about your party, dates and plans.
  • Do not exceed the maximum number of guests confirmed for the property.
  • Follow the Supplier’s house rules, including rules on noise, smoking, pets, parties and events. Events and gatherings beyond your confirmed party need the Supplier’s written approval.
  • Treat the property, its contents and its staff with respect. You are responsible for loss or damage caused by you or your party beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Follow local laws and the rules of any gated community or resort where the property is located.

Suppliers may refuse entry or end a stay without refund if these responsibilities are seriously breached.

8. Owners, property managers and partners

If you supply a property or service through us, you confirm that you have the right to rent or provide it, that the information you give us is accurate and kept up to date, and that you hold any licenses, permits and insurance required where you operate. You are solely responsible for your rental agreements with guests, for collecting payments and taxes, for refunds, and for the condition, safety and operation of your property and services. Our marketing services, fees and other commercial terms are set out in a separate written agreement between you and The Luxury Rental.

9. Other services

Where we help coordinate services such as private chefs, airport transfers, boat charters, excursions or concierge requests, those services are provided by independent Suppliers under their own terms. The Luxury Rental does not provide these services and is not responsible for them.

10. Limitation of liability

Because The Luxury Rental is a marketing company and intermediary, we are not responsible for any property, stay or service, or for the acts, omissions, representations or policies of any Supplier, its staff or contractors. This includes the condition, safety, availability or accuracy of any property, any payment made to a Supplier, and any cancellation or refund. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, travel disruptions, utility failures, illness or government action. Any claim relating to a property or stay must be made against the Supplier. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate The Luxury Rental for any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your dealings with a Supplier, or damage caused by you or your party.

12. Our website and content

The content on our website, including text, photos, logos and design, belongs to The Luxury Rental or our Suppliers and licensors. You may view and share it for personal, non commercial use, but you may not copy, scrape, republish or use it commercially without our written permission. We try to keep the website available and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.

13. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Guests and partners in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom should also read our GDPR Terms and Conditions. When you send an inquiry, we share the details needed with the relevant Supplier so it can respond to you.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you make a booking applies to that booking. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or our services will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Iowa, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, this does not remove any mandatory protections you have under the laws of your country of residence. Your rental agreement with a Supplier may be governed by the law of the place where the property is located.
