About the Destination

Courchevel 1650, also known as Moriond, is one of the villages that make up the Courchevel resort in the Savoie Alps, sitting at around 1,650 metres on a sun-catching shoulder of the valley. More relaxed and family-oriented than the exclusive 1850 above it, it offers the same direct access to Les Trois Vallees, the largest linked ski area in the world, from a friendlier and often better-value base.

The village catches the afternoon sun, and its slopes are welcoming and well-suited to families and improving skiers, with quick links across the wider domain. Winter runs from December to April, with the holiday weeks busiest, while summer brings a quieter season of hiking and mountain biking on the surrounding slopes under long alpine daylight. For families and groups who want space and ski-in access at a gentler pace, chalet rentals in Courchevel 1650 sit among the pistes and the village.
