About the Destination
North Beach is the northern district of Miami Beach, a more residential and relaxed counterpart to the busier South Beach, with wide, uncrowded sands, a walkable oceanfront and a distinctive stock of mid-century Miami Modern, or MiMo, architecture from the 1950s. Centred on the low-key streets around Ocean Terrace and the bayfront neighbourhoods of Normandy Isle, it keeps a quieter, more local character while still sitting on the same warm Atlantic shore.
The appeal is the beach and the calm, with the Art Deco core and nightlife of South Beach a short drive down Collins Avenue and the bay close by for boating. The high season follows the region’s, from December to April, when the weather is warm, dry and reliable; summer is hotter and quieter.
