Chalet Grand Couloir

Chalet Grand Couloir is a big house in every sense. Tier upon tier of snow-heavy balconies face the firs of Courchevel 1850, and below them sits a run of rooms that most hotels would envy.

Start in the main living room, where old timber walls and a hanging steel fireplace set the tone, and copper velvet armchairs gather round the fire. There's a bar with backlit shelves, a dining table for a dozen beneath a crystal chandelier, and a timber kitchen with a central island. If you're looking for a luxury chalet rental in Courchevel that can host the whole crowd, this is one of the few that can do it without anyone feeling squeezed.

Chalet Grand Couloir sleeps sixteen guests in eight bedrooms and has eight bathrooms. Bedrooms mix reclaimed wood with soft greys, and one bathroom puts a freestanding tub beside the window. Downstairs is where the evenings go: a curved indoor pool with a hot tub, a spa lounge, a treatment room and a gym, then a cinema, a games room with a pool table and a full nightclub with its own DJ booth. A ski room and a garage with a car turntable deal with the practical side.

Courchevel 1850 sits high in the Three Valleys of the French Alps, with its restaurants and boutiques close at hand. It's made for large ski groups, extended families and anyone planning a New Year party.
