A Chalet On The Sunniest Plateau In The Alps
Crans-Montana is one of Switzerland’s most sophisticated ski resorts, a dual resort set on a sun drenched plateau at 1,500 metres in the Valais above the Rhône valley. The plateau faces south, which gives it noticeably longer sunshine than comparable Swiss resorts and a view across the valley to a wall of four thousand metre peaks from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc. Above the village the lifts rise to the Plaine Morte glacier at 3,000 metres; below it the Severiano Ballesteros golf course hosts the Omega European Masters every September.
Chalet Bella Lui takes its name from the peak above the resort. It has six bedrooms for a family or two families skiing together, a great room built around the fire, and the kind of terrace the plateau’s sunshine deserves. It is the only chalet we currently offer in Crans-Montana, and we chose it for the position as much as the house.

When To Come To Crans-Montana
December to AprilThe ski season, with the glacier keeping the top of the resort open into spring. Christmas, New Year and the February holidays book first; March is sunny, long and quieter.
SummerGolf on the Ballesteros course, hiking to the mountain lakes, cycling on the plateau and the European Masters in September. The chalet is a summer house as much as a winter one.
Shoulder weeksLate November before the lifts open and May after they close are quiet, inexpensive and, on a clear day, as beautiful as any week of the year.

How do I get to Crans-Montana?
Geneva airport is a little over two hours by car and Sion about an hour; the funicular from Sierre climbs to the resort in twelve minutes. We arrange private transfers to the chalet.
Is the chalet ski in, ski out?
It sits within minutes of the lifts rather than on the piste itself. Tell us how important ski access is and we will advise on the week.
Can we come in summer?
Yes, and many guests do. Golf, hiking and the lakes make Crans-Montana one of the best summer resorts in the Valais, and the chalet is easier to book outside the ski season.
