Bastide Vitòri is an 18th-century stone bastide set on a ridge above the village of Fox-Amphoux in the haut-Var, looking out over the forested plateau of Provence above the Verdon gorges. The property covers 800m2 of habitable space across three levels and sits within a private enclosed domain of 12 hectares planted with groves of olive trees and truffle oaks. Dry-stone walls mark the outer boundary of the land on all sides, and the elevation gives open views over the wooded Provençal hills in every direction, and is available to book through The Luxury Rental.

The main house was built from local yellow limestone in the Provençal bastide tradition and has been updated with a combination of original structural materials and contemporary fittings. On the ground floor, a wide stone entrance corridor opens into a large living room with exposed walls and a stone fireplace, and a panelled library den with deep sofas and bookshelves on three walls. The kitchen is fully equipped with a long marble prep surface and a cold-room pantry off to one side. A tasting bar with shelving for local Var wines connects the kitchen to the formal dining room, which seats fourteen at a single oak refectory table. One level below the kitchen, a cinema room with a projection screen and two rows of tiered seating serves the full party.

Five bedrooms on the first floor each have a private en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, a vanity counter, and a flat-screen television. The beds are king-size with the option to configure them as twin pairs on request. A separate staircase leads to the second-floor parental suite, which occupies a full 100m2 as a private apartment: a sitting room with stone fireplace, a walk-in dressing room, a king bed, and a complete bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath. A seventh bedroom on the same floor accommodates overflow guests when the full party of fourteen needs additional sleeping space.

The grounds include a heated swimming pool in a stone-paved courtyard shaded by old plane trees, a clay tennis court in the lower section of the domain with a wooden viewing bench alongside, and a separate nine-pin bowling alley in a dedicated stone outbuilding at the edge of the estate. The domain has its own olive grove with a small oil-pressing room adjacent to the cave, and seasonal produce from the kitchen garden is used by the chef throughout the stay. A baby grand piano is installed in the main salon, and a helipad cleared for regular landings sits on the upper plateau of the domain.

Bastide Vitòri is managed by The Luxury Rental: daily housekeeping and a full-time private chef are both included throughout the rental period. The Verdon Regional Natural Park begins at the boundary of the domain, with the turquoise gorge and Lac de Sainte-Croix accessible by car in under 25 minutes. Aups with its Thursday truffle market and weekly village market is 12 kilometres south, and Cotignac is 20 kilometres to the south-west. Marseille-Provence airport is 90 kilometres to the west.
