Bastide Estello

Bastide Estello rises from the Luberon landscape with the kind of quiet grandeur that belongs only to Provence. Situated in the medieval village territory of Saint-Martin-de-Castillon, surrounded by vineyards, lavender fields, and the dramatic limestone ridges of the Luberon massif, this extraordinary estate is one of the largest and most complete private retreats available in the entire region. It is a place where a large group of family or friends can arrive and simply let the rhythm of the South of France take hold. This home is located in Castellet-en-Luberon and offered by The Luxury Rental.

The bastide sleeps up to twenty-nine guests across thirteen bedrooms, each individually decorated with a refined understanding of Provencal style. Antique stone, hand-painted tiles, exposed beams, and fine French linens appear throughout. The scale of the property means there is always somewhere to find privacy, quiet, or company, depending on the mood of the moment.

At the center of estate life is the swimming pool, a generous basin set within a sun-washed terrace perfectly positioned to catch the long hours of Luberon sunlight. Around it, comfortable seating, umbrellas, and loungers create a natural gathering point for afternoon swims and convivial evenings. The grounds beyond the pool are equally inviting, with terraces, shaded pergolas, and gardens that move through season after season of perfumed bloom.

Sport and active leisure are well accounted for. The estate features a full tennis court for those who want to stay sharp between days of exploration, and a games room complete with both a ping pong table and a pool table. For large groups, these spaces become hubs of competition and laughter that bind a stay together in ways that no restaurant or tour can replicate.

Bastide Estello comes with full housekeeping and private chef services, removing every logistical concern. The chef prepares meals using the finest local produce, seasonal vegetables from nearby markets, Luberon wines sourced direct from neighboring estates, and the extraordinary olive oils and herbs that define Provencal cooking at its peak. Breakfast in the garden, long lunches on the terrace, and dinner under the stars become the natural cadence of each day.

The surrounding region offers a lifetime of discovery. The perched villages of Bonnieux, Gordes, Roussillon, and Lacoste are all close at hand, each offering sweeping views, artisan galleries, and exceptional restaurants. The Luberon nature park provides hiking trails through wild garrigue and pine forest. Avignon, with its papal palace and world-renowned theater festival, is easily reached within an hour.

The Luxury Rental is honored to present Bastide Estello as one of the jewels of its French portfolio. For those seeking an estate of genuine scale and elegance in the heart of Provence, this bastide has no equal, and we invite you to contact us to discuss availability and arrangements for your group. Availability for a property capable of hosting nearly thirty guests at this level of quality is naturally limited, and Bastide Estello is one of the most in-demand addresses in the entire Luberon. We encourage groups to enquire well in advance to secure their preferred dates.
