Chalet Hacha

There is a version of Alpine luxury that is about finesse rather than spectacle, where the quality of what surrounds you only becomes fully apparent after a day or two of living inside it. Chalet Hacha belongs to that tradition. Described by those who know the resort best as a true jewel of Megève, this four-floor, 500-square-metre property has been conceived as an expression of mountain art de vivre at its most refined: high-quality materials used without ostentation, a warm contemporary atmosphere that invites long evenings by the fire, and a level of care that makes a group of guests feel as though the property was designed specifically for them and for no one else, and is available to book through The Luxury Rental.

Seven bedrooms are arranged across the four floors in a layout that gives the property both a generous sense of scale and the feeling of a properly staffed private house. The materials throughout are serious and deliberately chosen: stone, wood, and fabric selected for texture and longevity rather than for trend or immediate visual impact. Each room reflects a coherent design vision that runs from the entrance hall to the uppermost floor, and the effect is one of cumulative elegance rather than any single dramatic gesture. A private lift connects all floors without any effort on the part of guests, which matters considerably at the end of a long day on the mountain when comfort is the only priority that remains for anyone in the group.

The well-being facilities are built into the fabric of the property rather than added as an afterthought. A swimming pool, hammam, sauna, hot tub, and full spa are all available within Chalet Hacha, which gives the week the rhythm of a proper retreat as well as a ski holiday. On recovery days and planned rest days, the wellness level provides everything that a dedicated spa hotel would offer, in the complete privacy of a property the group has entirely to themselves. The quality of the recovery time available here is one of the reasons that guests who have stayed once tend to return, and tend to bring others with them.

Megève is one of the most beguiling resorts in the Alps: a medieval village at its heart, surrounded by slopes that link to the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area and provide excellent skiing for every level. The village rewards slow exploration on foot, with independent shops, excellent restaurants of genuine local character, and a human scale that the larger high-altitude resorts cannot replicate for those who appreciate it.

We at The Luxury Rental manage all aspects of the stay: private transfers from Geneva, chef and butler services, ski infrastructure, and concierge support throughout the week. Our team works with each group before arrival to make sure everything is in place from the first morning and the week unfolds exactly as planned.

Geneva airport is approximately one hour by private transfer from the resort. Private vehicles can be arranged for any arrival time, including late evening flights during the peak weeks of the season.
