The acacias with tortured branches and the haughty euphorbias hide here and there strange shapes covered with wood: the suites of the reserve. Immersion in the bush is immediate. The place is overrun with birds and butterflies. There, in the shade of a rock, a few meters from the bridge, an antelope watches us advance fearlessly. At night, it is still advisable to be accompanied by one of the rangers.

The suites are all built on the same model, an external plant shell hides a rectangle 15 m long and 4 m wide totally glazed which opens onto the outside. Accentuating this feeling of being one with the environment, a terrace equipped with a bed with mosquito net allows you to be in direct contact with the elements. No separation in the suites, the bathroom is a continuation of the bedroom. Its large bathtub invites you to take a bath in the heart of nature. All you have to do is slide the large glass panels.

Here exit the traditional objects and real-false antiques. Glass, steel and wood were worked by local artists in a contemporary style. Tired of playing the colonial nostalgia chord, the decorators wanted to show a sophisticated, modern and ecological Africa. The shades of the curtains are beige or light green as if to blend better with the colors of the exterior and to erase as much as possible any feeling of separation.

In the spectacular lobby, a tray of ostrich eggs, a crocodile skull, a warthog trophy are enough to give the expected touch of Africanity. On the other hand, here and there, contemporary furniture also reminds us that Africa is also at the forefront of design.

SUGGESTION

The place being perfect both for the discovery of the fauna but also for decompressing, a stay of 3 to 4 nights seems ideal to us. You will have time to discover the territory in these smallest corners but also and above all to take advantage of the many activities offered such as lunch by the river, aperitif at the top of the hills, night safaris, the spa and the swimming pool. Not to mention the very romantic comfort of the rooms for honeymoons!
