Villa Indaba

Behind Villa Indaba, steep green mountains climb into the sky. In front, the Atlantic rolls away and turns gold in the evening light. The house sits on the slopes above Llandudno, one of the prettiest corners of the Cape Peninsula.

It's a modern, easygoing place, and walls of glass slide back so the rooms spill onto terraces and the pool deck. Out there, sun loungers line the water and a shaded deck looks over the sea, which is where long afternoons tend to disappear. As a luxury villa rental in Cape Town, it brings beach and mountain life together.

Inside, you'll want to sink into the living room sofas, piled high with bright cushions around a coffee table someone carved out of a tree root. The kitchen has a bold teal island with bar stools facing the sea, and the dining table sits under a warm timber ceiling. Film nights happen in the cinema room. For sunsets, head up to the roof terrace, where a long built-in sofa takes in both mountain and ocean.

Villa Indaba sleeps eight guests in five bedrooms and has three bathrooms. Bedrooms open onto sea-view terraces, and kids will love the playful room with its little house-shaped bed. One stone-walled bathroom has a freestanding tub. Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in South Africa, and this villa is a peaceful base for families and small groups.
