Villa Vernaccia

Villa Vernaccia is set into its hillside so gently that the grass grows over the roof. From the water you see a line of glass doors and terraces looking straight out to turquoise sea, with a wooden jetty and a little pebble beach below.

The living spaces are long and light, with white sofas, bold flower prints and glass walls on the bay. A long dining table seats everyone, and the white kitchen has a steel range and granite island. Outside, the dining table is framed by green walls, umbrellas and the bright sea beyond. As a luxury villa rental in Sardinia, it's about water, light and colour.

Villa Vernaccia has five bedrooms, and most open onto terraces or the lawn. They're white and calm, with window seats, colourful art and the occasional Barcelona chair. Bathrooms are in pale marble with soft wood details.

Down the slope, the pool sits on a green lawn beside a striking blue sculpture, and an outdoor gym stands under a reed pergola with a sea view. In the evening, a lounge with a large projection screen makes for easy film nights. The shoreline below is rocky and clear, with umbrellas on the beach and white chairs on the jetty. Sardinia is one of the most beautiful islands in Italy, and this villa suits families and friends who love the sea.
