A Villa Above The Croisette
Cannes sits on the French Riviera in the Alpes-Maritimes, wrapped around a wide bay of the Mediterranean and known everywhere for the Croisette, the palm lined seafront boulevard where the grand hotels face the beach and the Palais des Festivals hosts the film festival each May. Behind the boulevard the town climbs: the covered Marché Forville, the lanes of Le Suquet around the old castle, and then the residential hills, where the villas of the last century look down over the bay to the Îles de Lérins.
Villa Croisette is one of those hillside houses, with eight bedrooms for a large family or a group arriving for one of the festivals, a pool and terraces facing the sea, and the town a short drive down the hill. It is our only home in Cannes, chosen because it does the thing a Cannes villa should do: it lets you be in the middle of the Riviera and above it at the same time.

When To Come To Cannes
Festival weeksThe film festival in May, the Lions in June and the property and television markets in the shoulder months fill every hotel in town. A villa with eight bedrooms is the alternative, and it books a year ahead for those weeks.
June to SeptemberThe Riviera summer: the beach clubs along the Croisette, the fireworks festival over the bay in July and August, and boats to the islands from the old port. Warm sea from mid June.
October to AprilMild, quiet and largely sunny. The town runs at its own pace, the restaurants are easy to book and the villa is remarkably good value for a group escaping a northern winter.

How far is the villa from Nice airport?
About thirty minutes by car in normal traffic. We arrange private transfers to the villa door, and helicopter transfers on request.
Is Villa Croisette suitable for festival week?
Yes. Eight bedrooms, a pool and the town a few minutes away make it a natural base for a delegation or a large family during the festivals. Those dates go first, so ask early.
Can we reach the beach on foot?
The villa sits on the hills above the town, so the beach is a short drive rather than a walk. We arrange a driver or a car for the stay if you would rather not drive.
