Grimaud Villa Rentals in France
Grimaud is two places, really. Up on the hill is the old village, with the ruins of its castle at the top, a windmill and lanes of stone houses with flowers spilling over the doorsteps. Down on the gulf is Port Grimaud, a seaside town built in the 1960s on canals, where houses have boats moored outside the front door. Our villa here has six bedrooms and sleeps up to 16.

Before you go
What guests ask us most before a stay in Grimaud.
What is Port Grimaud?
A lagoon town built from the 1960s by the architect François Spoerry on marshland at the head of the gulf. Houses in pastel colours line the canals, each with its own mooring, and people get around by little boat as much as on foot. It looks old but isn't. Little electric boats take visitors round the canals.
How far is Grimaud from Saint-Tropez?
Around 15 to 20 minutes by car outside high summer. In July and August the road round the gulf can be very slow. Then there's the boat. Shuttle boats cross the gulf between Port Grimaud and Saint-Tropez in the season, which is usually faster than driving, and far more pleasant.
Which beaches are nearest?
There are sandy beaches along the gulf right by Port Grimaud, shallow and calm, which suits young children. For longer stretches of sand, Pampelonne is around 25 to 30 minutes away on the open sea side of the peninsula. Sainte-Maxime's beaches are also close, across the head of the gulf.
