A five bedroom villa on the hill behind Saint-Tropez, with the gulf below, Pampelonne beach ten minutes away and one of France’s most beautiful villages at the top of the road.
Gassin is the perched village behind Saint-Tropez, one of the official Plus Beaux Villages de France, a knot of stone lanes on a hilltop with a view that takes in the whole Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the Maures hills and, on a clear day, the Alps. Below it the land falls through vineyards to the sea: Château Minuty and the other estates of the Saint-Tropez appellation on one side, the long sand of Pampelonne, shared with Ramatuelle, on the other. Saint-Tropez itself is ten minutes down the road, close enough for dinner and far enough for sleep.
Villa Golfe takes its name from the view. It has five bedrooms, a pool and terraces facing the water, and it is placed for the life of the peninsula: the beach clubs of Pampelonne in the day, the port and the market square of Saint-Tropez in the evening, and the vineyards in between. It is the only villa we offer in Gassin, chosen for exactly that position.
You book it directly with The Luxury Rental, with a 0% booking fee. The same person who confirms your dates arranges the transfer from Toulon-Hyères or Nice, a boat for the day, beds at the beach clubs and the tables in town that fill in July.

The castle village at the head of the gulf, with Port Grimaud’s canals.
Late May to June and SeptemberWarm sea, open beach clubs and the peninsula before and after the crush. Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, the classic yacht regatta at the end of September, is the finest week of the year for many regulars.
July and AugustThe famous Saint-Tropez summer, with everything open and everything full. The villa is the calm above it; the tables and the beach beds need booking ahead, and we do that.
October to AprilMild, quiet and mostly sunny, with the village and the vineyards to yourself and Saint-Tropez running like the fishing port it once was. Very good value.
Toulon-Hyères airport is about an hour by car and Nice about an hour and three quarters, longer in high summer. We arrange private transfers, and a boat transfer along the coast is possible in season.
About ten minutes by car. We arrange beds at the beach clubs, which book out in July and August.
No; it sits on the hill in Gassin, ten minutes by car from the port. That distance is what keeps the nights quiet. A driver for the stay is easily arranged.
