Villa Boreas

Villa Boreas is built of local stone and white plaster on the bare, golden hills of Ftelia, on the north side of Mykonos. A dark infinity pool reflects the sky, and from the terraces the view runs over rolling hills to the sea and distant islands.

Inside, the mood is calm and earthy. The living rooms have low sofas gathered around fireplaces, with walls of glass looking out to the hills, and timber beams overhead. Covered terraces with stone walls and beamed roofs hold long wooden tables for meals with the view. As a luxury villa rental in Mykonos, it's a fine choice for those who prefer wild landscape to busy beaches.

Villa Boreas sleeps thirteen guests in seven bedrooms and has seven bathrooms. Bedrooms are large and serene, with white beds, window seats and views to the hills, and bathrooms are finished in soft grey plaster.

The setting sun is the main event here. A sunken lounge with cushions sits beside the pool, perfectly placed for watching the sky change colour over the islands, and the pool and terraces are lit softly after dark. Ftelia is known for its long sandy beach and steady breezes, and the whole of the island is within easy reach. The villa suits families and friends wanting a peaceful, beautiful base in Greece.
