A large gold-and-black painted canvas of tropical foliage hangs on the rear wall, and a wrought-iron chandelier with amber glass shades lights the center of the room from above. White-louvered windows and French doors run across the garden-facing wall, keeping the space open to the outdoor air.

The primary bedroom has a champagne-toned tufted headboard with an ornate carved wood frame and a crystal candelabra chandelier hanging above. A built-in cream shelving unit with a flat-screen television fills the wall to one side of the bed. A second suite has a vaulted white-painted beam ceiling rising to a high peak, a navy blue upholstered headboard, a capiz shell chandelier at the top of the vault, and a bank of French doors opening to the palm garden.
