Villa Larimar

Villa Larimar is a single-story villa inside the gated residential grounds of Puntacana Resort and Club in Punta Cana, set on a manicured lawn surrounded by coconut palms, tree ferns, and dense tropical garden beds. The exterior is white stucco under a dark charcoal tile roof, with a covered entry portico flanked by lantern-style wall fixtures and potted ferns. A paved driveway with grass-set stone squares leads to the front door. Four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, sleeps eight, and is available to book through The Luxury Rental.

The pool sits on a cream travertine terrace with a large green lawn running along the far side. Two chaise lounges sit under a white market umbrella at the pool's edge. A separate octagonal thatched rancho at one corner of the deck provides covered outdoor seating. The terrace continues to an open-air section with a stainless steel gas grill and a sliding glass door back into the main house.

Inside, the living and dining areas flow as one open room. A white slipcovered sectional with blue and indigo patterned throw pillows faces a glass-top driftwood coffee table. Two blue-and-white patterned accent chairs are positioned to one side of the seating area, with an antique pine display hutch in the corner behind them. The dining table is long dark wood with upholstered taupe-gray chairs seating eight, lit by three rattan sphere pendant lights hanging above. French doors at the end of the room look directly out to the pool terrace.

Throughout the main living area a quiet attention to detail shows in the accessories: a dark carved figurine on a round wood side table, a crystal-base lamp with a white shade, a modern line-work canvas above, and small potted succulents in the window ledges. The room reads light and considered without feeling precious.

The four bedrooms are arranged for privacy around the perimeter of the house. A twin room has two white beds with blue geometric-patterned pillows, garden windows, and wall sconce lighting on either side of the headboards, with a direct-access en-suite bathroom. The bathrooms have cream travertine tile on the walls and floors, glass-enclosed walk-in showers with rainfall heads, vessel-style round white sinks on travertine vanity tops, and bi-fold louvered wood doors connecting to the bedrooms.
