Villa Luna

Villa Luna is a two-story colonial-style home set on a corner lot within the Tortuga Bay neighborhood of Puntacana Resort and Club in Punta Cana. The property is entered through a long travertine-paved colonnade of square stone columns with a hanging copper lantern overhead, with the number 20 marked on the exterior wall beside a set of white French doors. Five bedrooms, six-plus bathrooms, sleeps ten, and is available to book through The Luxury Rental.

The rear pool terrace is the central outdoor space. A large rectangular pool sits on a wide cream travertine surround flanked by dark wicker sun loungers and potted tropical plants. At the far end of the pool stands a separate octagonal gazebo pavilion with a sloped tile roof, open sides, white square columns, and a round wicker seating piece at its center, positioned between mature palms and overlooking the pool and garden.

The ground-floor interior opens into a grand double-height living and dining room with a cream travertine tile floor, vaulted plaster ceiling, and a white iron chandelier at the center. A large dark mahogany dining table with ten matching chairs runs down the room’s length, with a dark wood built-in bookcase and media unit along one wall. White linen sofas and armchairs are arranged around a glass coffee table in the adjoining living area, which has two ceiling fans and floor-to-ceiling French doors opening directly to the pool terrace. A separate open-air courtyard seating area within the body of the house features travertine walls, wicker armchairs with cream and red patterned cushions, and a dark wood center table.

The main kitchen has white flat-front cabinetry, gray granite countertops, a stainless steel dishwasher and gas range, and a garden-facing window above the sink. A second kitchen in a separate wing has cream cabinetry, a large gray granite island with two orange-stained wood counter stools, a six-burner gas cooktop, a stainless steel refrigerator, and a cedar-planked vaulted ceiling with a paddle fan.

Bedrooms carry a warm colonial tone throughout. One room has two dark mahogany rattan-framed double beds with cream linens and striped footrest benches, gold-framed seashell art, sheer linen drapes, and French door access to the garden. The primary ensuite bathroom has a full travertine surround with a deep built-in soaking tub beside a window with palm views, a double white vessel sink vanity, and a walk-in glass shower.
