Villa Marcela

Villa Marcela is a two-story home set on a landscaped lot within the Tortuga Bay neighborhood of Puntacana Resort and Club in Punta Cana. The white stucco facade rises above a manicured lawn flanked by tall royal palms, with a turquoise front door marking the entrance at the end of a stone-paved path. Five bedrooms, five-plus bathrooms, sleeps ten, and is available to book through The Luxury Rental.

The outdoor terrace is the defining feature of the rear of the house. A large rectangular pool sits flush with a wide hardwood deck that wraps from the main building across to a separate covered rancho pavilion with a terracotta tile roof and white square columns. Striped blue-and-white sun loungers are arranged on the deck beside the pool, and additional reclining chairs line the far pool edge. The rancho holds a covered lounge area with a ceiling fan, and the decked surface connects the two structures in a single continuous outdoor living space framed by dense tropical garden on all sides.

The main level interior opens into a wide open-plan area where the dining room and living room share the same cream marble tile floor. A white lacquered dining table with eight matching medallion-back chairs sits at the center, with a glass surface and candle centerpieces. Beyond it, cream linen sofas and armchairs are arranged around a dark wood media console holding a flat-screen television. A painted staircase with a wrought-iron railing with warm amber tones on each step leads to the upper level. Framed colorful abstract canvases and decorative pieces in teal and green add spots of color to the neutral walls throughout.

The primary bedroom is on the ground floor with direct French door access to the pool deck. It has a white beadboard king bed with a latticed headboard, a taupe quilted duvet, navy and striped pillow accents, framed fish-print artwork on either side of the headboard, and white nightstands with dark ceramic lamps. Upper-level guest bedrooms carry the same coastal palette: white wicker or arched wood headboards, teal quilted bedspreads, mirrored nightstands with lattice-pattern fronts, and white plantation shutters filtering garden views. One room has twin beds with seashell-print bedding and a white armoire housing a wall-mounted flat-screen. Another has two full beds with pink floral linens and a separate study desk.

The bathrooms are finished in warm cream and honey-veined marble throughout. The primary ensuite has a double vanity with two rectangular inset stone basins set into a matching marble counter, a large wall mirror with recessed lighting above, and a walk-in shower with full marble-tiled walls. A guest bathroom carries the same stone basin double vanity and adds nautical decorative details including a ship-wheel wall plaque and embroidered towels in white and green.
