Casa Piobbu is a contemporary single-story villa built under a wide flat concrete canopy that extends several metres beyond the facade in all directions. The lower walls are clad in vertical timber boards, and the entrance approach is along a raised timber walkway flanked by low rendered beds planted with bamboo and broad-leaf grasses. The pool runs across the full front of the house, framed by a broad timber deck with an outdoor dining table large enough for ten and a modular sofa set in weathered rattan. Inside, the kitchen is fitted in high-gloss white cabinetry with a long black granite worktop and a flush induction hob. The living spaces connect to the deck through wide sliding glass panels that pull back to remove the boundary between inside and outside entirely. The natural light on the pool side of the house fills the interior through most of the day. The bedrooms are quieter in character, air-conditioned, and finished in pale colours with simple materials.

The site gives good privacy, with dense maquis closing in on three sides of the plot and no other buildings visible from the terrace. The canopy provides enough shade over the outdoor dining area to make meals practical even in July at midday, and the pool is deep enough for proper swimming rather than just cooling off.

Corsica has two distinct faces depending on how you use it. The beaches near Porto Vecchio on the south coast are the closest major destination from the property, most within twenty-five minutes by car, with white sand and water that runs clear across wide bays. The interior rises quickly from the coast through pine forest and chestnut groves to granite peaks and high mountain lakes, all within an hour in either direction.

Service is managed through The Luxury Rental. The team arranges private chef bookings, housekeeping on whatever schedule the group needs, transfers from Figari or Ajaccio airports, and boat hire. The house is stocked on arrival based on what the group sends in advance, and the office handles restaurant reservations and excursion planning throughout the duration of each stay.

Porto Vecchio has a Tuesday and Thursday market in the old town, covered provisioning shops along the lower road, and fish landed daily at the port. Bonifacio is forty minutes south and worth the drive for its Genoese citadel and the cliff-top views over the Bonifacio strait toward Sardinia. The south coast of the island is at its quietest in the first two weeks of September, when the sea is still warm and the traffic on the coastal roads drops sharply.

Casa Piobbu holds a group comfortably without feeling oversized, and the architecture is clean and well maintained. The house and its terrace function well throughout the season, the site is genuinely private, and the Corsican coast around it provides as much activity or as much quiet as any group wants.
