Casa Niolu

Casa Niolu is a crisp white villa with timber cladding, set on a slope above a wide Corsican bay. An old olive tree leans over the infinity pool, and from the deck you can see the water, the mountains behind and a small town on the far shore.

The house is laid out on one level, with a long covered terrace running in front of every main room. That terrace is where you'll live: deep outdoor sofas with red frames, a table for long lunches and loungers in sun or shade. Inside, the living room is soft and pale, with linen slipcovered sofas, a woven floor lamp and sheer curtains, then a glass-topped dining table and a simple white kitchen. Casa Niolu sleeps twelve guests and has five bathrooms. Bedrooms come in sage, teal and grey, with wire pendant lights and garden doors. There's a twin room, and a bunk room children will enjoy. Shower rooms are warm and simple, with timber shelves, and there's an outdoor shower by the pool.

Days fall into an easy rhythm: a swim, a long lunch, a nap under the umbrella, a glass of rosé as the light changes over the bay. The rocky coves and clear water of this part of France are what most people come for. It's a great choice for families and groups of friends.
